Does Woolworths Stock The Best Bridal Gowns & Accessories For Weddings?

I was at Woolworths, The Glen in Johannesburg South the other day and I was quiet impressed with some of the wedding gowns that I saw in the countrywide department store. Woolworths stocks very wonderful wedding clothes and accessories, from princess wedding crowns to elegant white wedding shoes. If you are planning to have a wedding any time soon then I recommend that you visit the Woolworths closest to you and look around. I am sure that you will find something that will suite you. The store does more than just the clothes. You can order a wedding cake, wedding flowers and wedding favours for your guests. If your friend is having a wedding then chances are you will pick up the best gift in these stores. 

The problem however with buying your products for your wedding from Woolworths is that you will have the same material they had at Jill's wedding. I mean wouldn't you want to have a special wedding gown or dress. I have seen brides frowning at their own wedding when someone merely notes that their dress looked just like Thato's or Melissa's gown. Though there are a lot of good things at Woolworths I think that you should only go there when you are really desperate, when all other ideas have failed. I am not saying that going to Woolworths is an act of desperation, oh no. You can go there and get a gown, but I guarantee you this - you will not be as special as you were hoping to be on your wedding day.

Look around before you buy a wedding dress or gown

So where can I buy a wedding gown you ask? Well that's simple, especially here in Johannesburg and down in Cape Town. There are a lot of wedding accessory shops in shopping malls and in the suburbs. A lot of the wedding dresses that these wedding supplies offer are of a very high quality and because of the stiff competition between wedding consultants, their prices will be much lower than the Woolworths prices. I remember back in 1997 when I had my wedding shop in Ilovo I had to cut down my prices because a lady who was importing her wedding gowns from Dubai was taking my market because of her low prices. I promise you if you take a good Saturday just walking around in the shopping mall such as Eastgate or Bedford Center, or driving around Sandton, you will find a good wedding planner/ supplier who can help you with finding the right stuff for your wedding.

I'm sure you will also want your wedding cake to be unique and special. Buying it from a store like Woolworths saves time but like I mentioned before you will be buying a cake with a design that will have been used before. Get a good bakery to bake a wonderful, mouth watering cake for you. This will not only impress your guests, but will also make you feel proud and unique. So to answer the above question about whether Woolworths stocks the best bridal gowns and accessories for weddings here in South Africa - My answer would be : Yes, but try and buy them elsewhere if you want to be unique. You will also save money on your wedding.
